TSAI CHIN 2025 NEW ZEALAND CONCERT
Honored as the most outstanding and contributive artist in Asia in year 2005, Tsai Chin was awarded the Best Artist of the Year in Asia by CCTV&MTV Music Awards, one of the most prestigious musical events in Asia with over 2 Billion audience around the world. This is to highly affirm every of her step in her musical journey in the past 25 years, as well as to appreciate and recognize Chin’s innovative contribution in her album of Chinese folk songs during 2004 and 2005. The album has successfully absorbed the international musical elements in traditional Chinese folk songs theme and has won the fondness of hundreds of thousands of young people. As one of the most successful artists for concert tour of the year, Chin has held 12 concert tours under the same name as her album, with an audience over 120 thousand.

Tsai Chin has always been the prestigious female vocalist of high caliber with worldwide recognition and appreciation since her engagement in singing in 1979, whilst her overwhelmingly superior talents, sophistication and attractive personalities have also made her a host covering broadcasting and television fields in addition to her participation in the movie performance, where she has been accredited with such highest awards in various field as Taiwan Broadcasting Golden Bell Award, Golden Harvest Award and Golden Horse Award, etc. Tsai Chin has successfully released forty-two albums in last 25 years, all of which are very popular among Chinese people; her loyal fans are characterized as a wide age spectrum ranging from ten years old up to one hundred years old and Chinese people as well as foreigners, either male or female, old or young, all falling in love with her special sound. One French music critic described that her sound was so elegant and mellow as that of the feeling of the velours, whereas prestigious tenorist Mr. Placido Domingo appreciated her sound a lot and invited her as the only honorable guest for his concert in Taipei.
Continuously committed to innovative breakthroughs, Chin went to New York to study Broadway musical at the prime of her performance career, after which she performed 147 Chinese musicals in 8 years in Asia. In 2005, Chinese musical ”Running Angel”, in which Tsai Chin acts as the leading role and producer, has been performed in 40 tour-shows around Taiwan and China mainland, setting up a new record of Chinese musical tour show. During 2002-2003, the one of hottest HongKong movie Internal Affairs trilogy later remade by Hollywood elaborately adopted her song “The Time Forgotten” as the movie theme song, which brought a éclat and attracted attentions of a large amount of young audiences.
In 2004, Shanghai New-Style, the artist management company of Tsai Chin, released the album of Chinese folk songs ”Under the Silver Moonlight” combining western music with traditional Chinese folk songs in an innovative technique. The album was so successful that more and more young fans started to listen to and adore the nearly forgotten Chinese folk songs; meanwhile, it has also led the trend of folk songs edition in Chinese music circle. On top of that, this innovative music style has become the international business card for Chinese folk songs, and has opened a brand new page for traditional Chinese music.
Invited as the honored guest for Lanvin Fashion Show for the closure ceremony of 2005 Sino-France Cultural Year, Chin performed the well-know Chinese folk song Kangding Love Song in the French Connait La Chanson style, which has won overwhelming applause and again demonstrated her unique personal charms to the international media all over the world.
